Writing was hard for me when I was younger, I struggled at school and had extra English tuition after school to keep me up with the rest of my class. My spelling was also terrible, and still is, but my use of words was always ok, and I’ve always enjoyed writing letters to my parents, wife and both my daughters.
I think it so very important to put your feelings, thoughts, and ideas to paper. With the invention of computers, spell check and processing, writing is now an accessible place for all; with little to hold you back, it was a God send to me.
At school I also struggled immensely with reading out loud, due to having a stutter. Something that, with age and confidence, I have now learnt to deal with, to the point where I quite enjoy presenting to people now.
Inspiration for my books has mainly come from my family, and I’m also fortunate to have had a lot of very lucky and special experiences to draw from. The choice to do children’s books was an easy one for me, the joy of reading to my children was something that I will cherish forever, just having those few minuets of 1 on 1 time, engagement and creating that bond that will last a lifetime. I’ve always enjoyed writing letters and poems purely for fun. Making up bedtime songs for my daughters was always a pleasure; one in particular had to be sung to my youngest every night for about 10 years!

About Me –
I grew up in East Sussex with my parents and elder brother before moving to Dorset with my Wife. I now have two daughters who give me the inspiration, and content for my books. What started as a bit of fun, has now turned into a range of children’s books that both educate, stimulate, and aim to bring joy to both the listener and reader
